Investing
  • Equal Exchange - Equal Exchange is structured as a for-profit, worker-owned cooperative. As they as grow, they seek new funds from investors and lenders. They have declared and paid dividends every year for 16 consecutive years. 
  • Mercado Global Social Investors' Circle - Help to finance an ever increasing sales volume in support of partner artisans in Guatemala. Each investment "multiplied more than ten-fold."
  • SERRV International Loan Fund - By investing in the Fund, consumers help provide loans and partial pre-payments to our partners, who have little or no access to much-needed capital. At the same time, you earn interest and receive your principal back when the loan matures.
  • OikoCredit - Investors in the US or Canada can choose to invest directly in Oikocredit (minimum deposit $1000) or invest online (minimum deposit $20)
  • Calvert Foundation - Offers support through their partner network, including to help farmer co-ops to help individual farmers manage their cash flow.
  • Shared Interest (UK Only) - Shared Interest Society is a co-operative lending society dedicated to supporting disadvantaged producers in some of the world's poorest countries to trade their way out of poverty. The minimum investment is £100 and the maximum £20,000.
Gifts-in-Kind / Alternative Giving

  • A Better Footprint - New shoes for Gambian children, school fees for students, first aid supplies for wood carvers, and more.
  • Asante Network - Purchase a gift which will 'give back' to the schools, communities, and individuals in Africa that Asante Network has partnered with.
  • Canaan Fair Trade - Supports Trees For Life program to plant olive trees and a scholarship fund for university students in Palestine.
  • Cooperative Coffees - Many of CC's members organize grassroots projects targeting culture and community, health and the environment, youth and education, gender and development, and economic development in the communities from their coffees come.
  • CPALI - Help farmers rear silk moths to restore forests
  • Eternal Threads - Life-sustaining gifts to a families living in extreme poverty, such as goats, sewing equipment, and literacy training
  • Global Sistergoods - Provide these gifts that give back to charities across the globe
  • Handcrafting Justice - Empower a young woman in Kenya or Peru with education and training
  • Indego Africa - Invest in skills training and education programs, workplace Improvements (like electricity and running water), capital equipment, or cooperative leadership workshops
  • Manos de Madres - Support empowerment, entrepreneurship and sustainable business practices among four women's groups in Honduras, Tanzania, and Rwanda
  • MayaWorks Education Fund - Provides financial assistance to girls and their families, so that school-related expenses are not a barrier to girls attending school.
  • Mission Guatemala - Gives indigenous women the opportunity to continue their education beyond the sixth grade level.
  • Partners for Just Trade - Gives artisans in Peru access to electricity, training, equipment, and supplies
  • SERRV International - The Teach a Person to Fish Program, In Your Name, and Plant a Seed programs supports training, equipment grants, technical assistance, and tools for market access to enrich artisans, farmers, and their families. 
  • Sharing the Dream - Fund scholarships for the children of the Mayan weavers who work with Sharing the Dream or hot meals for the elders in their village who can no longer work. 
  • Tropical Salvage - Helps to fund and implement a conservation, education and reforestation project in Jepara, Indonesia
  • Wanderlust Jewelry - Support efforts to buy underwear, socks and much needed shoes for children in Lima, Peru
Donations
Approximately 35% of the Federation's membership can accept charitable donations. Support their on-going work with tax deductible donations.
