Women's Work's African Excursions is the only tour operator that offers international travelers the opportunity to attend the colorful San Bushman Dance Festival in the Kalahari Desert of Botswana from August 11-22, 2008.

The 11 night/12 day personally-hosted safari starts with a night in Maun, three days in the Okavango Panhandle area to visit the basket weavers of Etsha 6, then on to Tsodilo Hills for a cruise on the Okavango River; finally, move on for three days to D’kar to the San Bushman Dance Festival.

The annual Kuru Dance Festival brings together dozens of Bushmen dance groups plus other traditional dance groups from other tribes. Then, venture out to the remote Central Kalahari Game Reserve for two nights with an opportunity to buy crafts from the San, then spend a glorious night in the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The last night, come back in Maun where there are more crafts to buy including hand painted fabrics before catching an outbound flight home the following morning.
